All right guys!!, finally I am taking advantage of the Garageband software included in the iMac!!, we, the group (still without a name) are recording some songs that we think are easy to record!!!. And we are doing everything on GarageBand. As soon as I have at least one song ready (it will be soon, i can tell you that!!) i'll post something here!!

In the meantime, enjoy this little joke about columbus!!!

Monotone?!?!?!

Hello everyone, there has been some discussion about what the name of the band will be, and one that I kind of like and probably will stay is the name Monotono (english, monotone-one color).

This is a little image I did with what I imagine would be the monotone symbol (same as propaganda, but I replaced the p with a m).

Got some pretty good songs from Ivan (our vocalist), some Manu Chao stuff that's cool and the Green Hornet theme song (excelent song!!).

All right everyone, just got back from a really weird fun vacation at South Padre, as soon as Juan give some pics, I'll be posting them here..

Night shift and photoshop

Hello everyone, as some of you may already know, I was working on the night shift last week....and discovered the wonderful sensation of working in a manufacturing plant when there is no one around!!!. It feels kind of strange at first, but then, you start to like due that no one is there paging you, or asking dumb question....you just go, do what you need to do, and go home..

The only drawback was that this week was kind of hard to come back to the morning shift...started to get used to sleeping at 6:00 am and waking up at 1:30 pm...

Anyways, I was playing with photoshop and put some of the basic things you need to get around the second shift....enjoy..

Yesterday we rehearse and finished the song called "da ducks". Sounded good...this week I will do the other flyer that I have on my mind..

El viernes ensayamos una vez mas......dos canciones completas, muchos pedazos, ruido, densidad, todo suena bien...

Una noche a la semana en los que la vida cotidiana pasa a un segundo plano olvidado en la parte mas escondida de mi cerebro, uno noche donde solamente se escuchan guitarras, teclados, baterias, bajos, gritos realizando un intento de concordar y sonar coherente....

Que para que tenemos teclado, que muchos efectos....de eso se trata precisamente...de abusar de los recursos y escuchar lo que se obtiene...

Ok, this photo was from the engineering lab...

This weekend is Tavo's graduation (it is the event that should never had happened) so we will be going to Monterrey....

Any new photo's or news that we got from there, I'll be posting them here....

In other news, this is my second week in the masters and it looks like it will be an interesting semester, especially 'cause i'm taking a nice logistics engineering class, which is quite different from anything I have ever seen..

The green belt project is doing good progress....along with the project I have to change the design of the product...

Two songs with the group and a lot of new interesting ideas.....

And things cannot be better with my GF....

So, it seems like I am starting to get used to the storm!!!, let's just see If I can keep up with this crazy rythim!!

All right then, I forgot to say where that last picture was taken....that was Plaza San Pedro (the Vatican), and this one....is just in front of the Colisseum with some cool 60´s looking policeman....by the way, also hear the new U2 album "How to dismantle a nuclear bomb". Now a little recent story of what I am trying to do right now...

Well there is work, my lovely gf, my friends and my MiniIpod.....life is good....

I am trying to get started a new project called "the skinys" with 3 friends of mine, the goal is to create some cool songs, record a demo, have the songs in a webpage and play some music...

We are still having problems scheduling a time to rehearse, but I have some faith on this project.....will let you know what happens with it...
